Brazil is hosting, from 16th to 22th September, its main competition among NCOs Schools. The competition occurs on the Brazilian Army School for NCOs (Escola de Sargento das Armas - ESA) in the city of Três Corações, state of Minas Gerais, land where was born the legend of Sport, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, PELÉ, King of Football and also a former soldier of Brazilian Army..
It is one of the most important military competitions with the participation of Navy, Army, and Air Force and on his Opening Ceremony, this Sunday (September 17th), were present, among several authorities,the CISM Vice President of Americas, Colonel Walter Jander de Andrade and the Chief of Brazilian Delegation, Vice Admiral Paulo Martino Zuccaro.
General Vinicius Ferreira Martinelli, Commander of the School, is receiving around 600 students athletes that will compete in these 9 sports: Basketball, Cross-Country, Football, Judo, Military Pentathlon, Orienteering, Swimming, Track & Field and Volleyball.
During the Opening Ceremony, one of the most signficatives points was the CISM Flag coming into the Stadium with a parachutist of COMETAS, the Brazilian Army Parachuting Elite Team. The CISM Flag flying on the highest position on brazilian sky.
Important to state that Brazilian Army School for NCOs will represent Brazil next week, on the 2nd South American Championship for NCOs Schools of UDMSA with 9 militaries that will compete for Orienteering and they had a special position on the parade.
The competition had the support from Minister of Defence and Minister of Sports, in a special partnership.
