As the name says, beach volleyball is practiced on the beach or on a sand court divided in two parts by a net, just like in volleyball, the goal of the game is to hit the ground opponent's ball. It emerged in the state of California (US) and Hawaii in the 1920s. However, it became a professional sport only in the 1980s.
It is played in teams of 2 to 4 players (in the Olympics are played by doubles). The rules of beach volleyball are different from volleyball court. And they are: No substitutions; as long as it does not adversely affect the opponent's move, netting is not considered a foul; each team is entitled to a thirty second time order; during the first two sets, the teams change sides of the court every seven points; during the tie set, they do it every five points played; there are positioning errors on the beach, players can switch positions at will; there is an occasion when the player can touch the ball twice in a row: during the block and the next move.
Now let's talk about the rules of beach volleyball
The serve must initiate a dispute by the point, pass or banner headline to receive a ball. The raise prepares a ball to be returned to the opposing field. And there is the blockage to avoid a ball going back to the field;
The games are divided into 5 sets, each of which must be earned 21 points by a team. However, it is necessary that the team has a difference of 2 points on the oponente;
It allowed the ball touching any part of the athlete's body during the first team contact with the ball as a form of defense;
Serving can be performed anywhere on the court floor;
Each team is entitled to only two or three touches on the ball before returning it to the opponent's field;
The uniforms for competitions are swimwear for men and sunquini for women. The use of a shirt is optional, unless there is some specific rule of competition. Player identification numbers must be 1 and 2.
