Talking about golf

Today's post will be about golf! I don’t know about you, but some time ago I didn’t know that golf was considered a sport or even a part of the Olympics. I've always imagined golf as a form of leisure. So, if you don’t know how golf works (just like me), this post is perfect for you!

Let's start?

The word golf comes from the German kolbe, which means taco. It is considered an elite sport by most people (I’m included in it), since its origin is quite spectacular, and is more probable that was created by a slavery by work of 1400. However, in 1457, the Scottish parliament by order of the king Jaime II of Scotland, prohibited the practice by means of considerations on the interests of the country.

The historians who attribute the creation to the British, other than the Romans, French ... Well, there are many speculations about the real creator of this sport, but it is more accepted that the modality was actually created by the Scots.

The game

The golf can be played individually or in groups of two to four players, has as particularity the absence of an "adversary"; The only opponent of the golfer is the field itself, there is nothing that has no sense of difficulty or performance from other players. The result depends on your individual effort and luck. The golfer has to lower his total score in the field.

In official competitions, it is forbidden to talk to other players during the game. When the game is between friends, it is normal for the experienced golfer to give "tips" to the less experienced.

Rules

- There are 18 holes without a golf course, there are obstacles such as sand bunkers and small lakes. A golf course with 6.4 miles in length. During the game, the golfer develops a ball in all holes not field during a match.

- Players use special tacos to fit like balls with as few strokes as possible.

- A golf game lasting four days, these matches are held during the clear part of the day.

- All holes of the golf course are flagged with a small flag that is attached to a mast, usually triangular in shape.

- Games can use five different types of tacos. Each of them is appropriate for a given situation. Wood-headed ones, for example, are much used for stronger strokes. For example, most construction processes, of all types, of steel, bronze, graphite, aluminum materials, among others.

- There are two types of operations: drive (high power strokes) and chip (short and precise strokes, as they are performed at Holes).

- The golf ball can not weigh more than 45.93 grams and its diameter can not be smaller than 42.67 mm. They are usually white in color and are provided with symmetrical precision. They have on the surface, between 250 and 500 alveoli.

Golf entered the Olympic sports chart in the second Olimpyc Games of the Modern Era, hears, in 1900. In the 1904 Olympics, golf was part of the second and last time of the Olympic frame. It was out of a century and in the Olympic Games of 2016 returned to be part of the Olympics.
