SAY NO TO DOPING!

Good afternoon readers, I hope you all are well! Today's post is a special and we will talk about doping. Hope you like it!

Let's start?

Doping is the use of drugs or specific methods that aim to increase the performance of an athlete during a competition. This word is of English origin, used in turf, means illicit injection of a stimulant drug applied to the race animal in order to assure the victory. Doping is banned in the sporting world because it harms the athlete's health and is unethical conduct of the athlete by providing an unfair competitive advantage over others.

WHAT IS WADA?

In 1999 the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) was founded. It is responsible for determining prohibited substances and combating doping among athletes. You can access the WADA website, there you stay inside how your work is done. Just click on this link and go to know WADA https://www.wada-ama.org/

PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES:

Prohibited substances are grouped into the following categories:

· Stimulants: reduce fatigue and increase adrenaline

· Narcotics: lessen the sensation of pain

· Steroids: Anabolic: Increase Muscle Strength

· Diuretics: used to control weight and also to mask doping

· Betablockers: decrease the athlete's blood pressure. They are used in shooting competitions and archery to keep the athlete's hands stable

· Hormones: peptides and analogues: increase the volume and potency of muscles.

Another method that is also prohibited is blood doping, a transfusion in which the athlete's blood is injected into himself, to increase oxygen in the tissues.

METHODS TO DETECT DOPING

Control is done through the anti-doping examination which consists of collecting an urine sample from the athlete immediately after the end of a competition. And frequent surprises are given to athletes.

CISM ANTI-DOPING PROGRAM

The CISM also works very hard to ban doping from athletes' lives. In the CISM website explains how they do to combat doping, to stay inside the fighting.

It is very simple to access this content, just go to www.milsport.one and go to events, programs and the first icon is antidoping. Or, if you prefer, click this link that automatically takes you to http://www.milsport.one/events/programs/anti-doping.

The special has come to an end, I hope you have enjoyed it. Enjoy the weekend of yours and see you next week! Bye!
